The DJI Zenmuse X7 is revolutionizing the world of drones. Specifically designed for the Inspire 2, the X7 is the first Super35 camera built for aerial use. It has the ability to capture 6K CinemaDNG RAW footage at up to 30fps and 5.2K ProRes at up to 30fps. Additionally, it can record 4K PreRes, 3.9K CinemaDNG RAW, and 2.7K ProRes footage at up to 60fps.
The Zenmuse X7 boasts an impressive 14 stops of dynamic range and supports interchangeable lenses. With the new DL-mount, users have the flexibility to choose from a range of DJI lenses. Initially, the company is offering a selection of lenses including 16mm, 24mm, 35mm, and 50mm lenses with a maximum aperture of f2.8.

With an ISO range of 100-25,600, this camera is capable of capturing stunning footage in low-light conditions. It also features an EI mode to achieve a consistent look with other industry-standard cinema cameras. The lenses, like DJI’s drones, are constructed with carbon fiber bodies to ensure durability while keeping them lightweight.

For still photographers, the X7 can capture both RAW and JPEG images with its 24-megapixel sensor. To showcase the capabilities of the Zenmuse X7, DJI has created a short film.
