Are you struggling to render your video in After Effects? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with these quick and easy tips. While mastering After Effects may not be a walk in the park, exporting your video can be a cinch. Just follow the steps outlined in our video tutorial or check out our animated examples below.
First things first, select your finished composition and add it to the Render Queue. This is essentially a to-do list for After Effects. You can also use the keyboard shortcut shift+command+/ on a Mac or shift+ctrl+/ on a PC to add compositions to the Render Queue.
Next, adjust the quality of your video in the Render Settings menu. You can choose from a few quality presets or access a deeper render settings menu. In most cases, you’ll want to keep it at Best Settings. The Output Module is where you’ll select the codec options for your video. This will determine the type of video your finished file will be saved as. For perfect quality, select Lossless.
Now it’s time to adjust the name and location of your exported video. Simply click the colored text next to the Output To link and select your desired save location and name. Hit the Save button and you’re almost there.
Last but not least, hit the Render button and let After Effects do its thing. Depending on the complexity of your composition, it could take anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours.
