Attention all filmmakers! Zeiss has just released their updated CP.3 lens line at NAB 2018, and it’s full frame and metadata-rich. That’s right, the much-anticipated “XD” version is finally here, offering greater compatibility with full-frame cameras and real-time metadata on lens distortion and shading characteristics. You can even monitor and share this data with pre-vis modified images for search functions and data wrangling. The new CP.3s are definitely worth the investment, but if you’re not ready to commit, rental packages are available.
