Get ready to be blown away by the Panasonic EVA1 camera, which is taking center stage at the company’s booth at NAB 2018. Despite a relatively quiet release, this camera is now on everyone’s radar thanks to its dual native ISOs, including 800/2500, borrowed from Panasonic’s high-end Varicam line. With 14 stops of dynamic range and a 5.7k image sensor, the EVA1 is a true cinema camera that captures stunning images, even in low light. Don’t believe us? Check out the images captured in a nearly blacked-out room at the Panasonic booth, where the EVA1 outperformed even its higher-priced colleagues. We’re impressed by the camera’s color science and image quality, which stand up extremely well to the Varicam. It’s time to give the EVA1 the attention it deserves, especially with Panasonic’s recent release of the GH5. Want more NAB coverage?
