2. Gaff Tape: This versatile and heat-resistant tape is a filmmaker’s best friend. Unlike duct tape, it won’t melt and ruin everything in its path. Use it to rig just about anything that might break on set or to prevent tripping hazards by taping down cables.
3. Lav Mics: If you’re assisting with audio on set, you’ll need to know how to lav a subject without making it visible on camera. The four ways to do this are collarbone, collar, chest, and ear lavs.
