Get ready for some juicy camera rumors! As we kick off 2019, we can’t help but wonder what new cameras will be hitting the market this year. While there are no guarantees, we’ve rounded up the best rumors for cameras that may be released in 2019. From ARRI to Canon to Blackmagic, we’ve got the inside scoop on what to expect.
First up, ARRI. The Alexa Mini has been a hit for the past four years, but will we see an update in 2019? While it’s unlikely, the Mini has exceeded ARRI’s expectations and has even been used as an A-camera on many productions. And while the company faced technical challenges in creating a worthy companion camera to the ALEXA LF, it’s rumored that they’re well into R&D.
Next, Blackmagic. After years of anticipation, the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K was finally released in 2018. So, what’s next? Rumors suggest that we may see another variation of the URSA Mini or even a return to a larger camera body.
Finally, Canon. While their DSLR line has fallen off the map in terms of video production, they’ve been making a big push into the mirrorless market with the EOS M and EOS R line. And while the Canon EOS C700 FF struggled to compete with other high-end cameras, the middle-tier Cinema EOS series is still going strong. Rumors suggest that we may see a new C300 and even a new entry-level R camera and professional R camera in 2019.
While these are just rumors, we can’t help but get excited about the possibilities. Stay tuned for more updates on the latest camera releases!Get ready for some exciting camera rumors in 2019!
