Founded in 2005 by Alamo Drafthouse CEO Tim League, Ain’t It Cool News’s Harry Knowles, writer Tim McCanlies, and Paul Alvarado-Dykstra, Fantastic Fest has premiered some of the biggest genre staples like Zombieland, Machete Kills, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, and Halloween (2018).
