Are you eagerly waiting for Sony to announce the a7sIII? Well, it seems like we’ll have to wait a bit longer. Despite the recent NAB event, there was no announcement or information about the upcoming camera releases from Sony. However, there is some good news – a successor to the a6500 (possibly the a7000) could be just around the corner.
According to a translated interview from Sony rumors, the a7sIII needs serious fundamental improvements to become as popular and groundbreaking as its predecessors. So, it looks like we’ll have to be patient for a little while longer. But, in the meantime, let’s take a look at what we can expect from the a7sIII. Our very own Jack Roberts predicts that it will have 8K up to 60fps, 4K up to 480fps, a 36.4MP full-frame sensor, dual based ISO, 4:2.2, 10-bit, increased battery performance, and improved AI auto-focus. Oh, and it will be announced in January 2019 (according to Jack).
We’ll keep you updated on any news about this highly anticipated camera. In the meantime, check out our articles on filmmaking and video production.
